In the next few weeks will be launching something new and exciting for all you scooter owners who like to modify and work on your scooters.

I am not going to say too much now, keeping it a surprise, but stay tuned, I am sure you are going to love what we are preparing here at MonstergGY6.

Long & Low Scooter Build

It has been so cold here, and not great riding weather, I decided to do some custom work on my scooter.

Basically I am calling this mod, Long & Low, because I am going to stretch out the scoot about 6 inches and then lower it about 2 inches. I am also going to paint the entire scooter, as well as stroke the motor.

Progress: At this point I have already welded up the motor mounts, and rear shock mount, I have started sanding down the plastic body panels and will stroke the motor next week. Enjoy the photo’s.

The begining

Ruckus performance engine build

I just got done building a performance motor for one of my customers Romeo. Romeo is Ruckus nut, and wanted the best performance possible.

I completed the motor about a week ago, and Romeo came out to test ride it. He was blown away by the power, literally!

Here is what I did, I tore down the motor, installed a 63mm Velocita cylinder kit and a Velocita 63mm cylinder head, I also installed a Velocita performance A9 camshaft, as well as a NCY 2mm crankshaft. We then installed a racing NCY intake manifold and added our new Velocita 30mm flat slide carburetor. We had previously done the clutch and variator upgrade. THIS IS ONE SMOKING HOT RUCKUS

2010 Update

I know I have been kinda quiet the last few weeks, but now I look forward to an exciting 2010 at MonsterGY6.com

We have got a lot going on, some new products will be added to the website over the next few weeks.

I am also doing some cool custom work on my scooter, you can follow me on You Tube and also in the MonsterGY6 Scooter build section of this blog. I am calling this build Long & Low, because that is what I am going to do to the scooter.

Please give me some feedback as to what new products you would like to see on the website, and also any feedback to make your shopping experience with us more pleasurable.

Tank going out of business?

I have heard that Tank has closed its doors, I don’t know for sure, but that’s what is going around.

Tank owners, don’r fear, your GY6 motor is the regular GY6, we at MonsterGY6 have all the parts to take care of you.

If I am not mistaken, the Tank scooters are almost the same as the Baja, and a few other of the Chinese brands out there, so body parts should also not be too much of a problem.

Approaching Holidays

This time of the year it just seems hard to get any work done on the scooter we are upgrading, just too much stuff going on.

Having said that, I have done a lot to it already. You can see the videos on You Tube. I am going to tear down my motor again in the next few weeks and add the stroker 2mm crank. I should of done that to start with.

So far I am really impressed with the performance, this thing flies, I can smoke my rear tire on pull away. I think maybe I will do a burn-out and show it on you tube.

Anyway it’s late now, my eyes are kind of blurry, so I don’t really know what I am typing here, so see you next time.

New Items added to website

I just got done adding some nice new items to the website. The coolest being our new open CVT cover, exposing the spinning clutch bell and clutch. This gives the Scooter a very nice custom look.

The set comes with the cut away CVT cover, Velocita chrome performance clutch bell, and a new gasket. This set sells for $79.

We have a video posted on You Tube as well showing this set up in action. I am sure you will be impressed with how cool this looks.

I have also added some more stock OEM GY6 engine parts, such as valves, valve springs, retainers, GY6 50cc cylinder and head, and oh yes, we also have the new NCY handlebars.

Handle Bars or just same old….???

I really do think most Scooters are pretty cool. The one thing I have always felt is the least cool thing about my scooter, or rather all scooters, is the handlebar setup. The way it is all enclosed in plastic.

Ok, so here we go again, tore all the plastic off, I am replacing the entire setup with a nice billet aluminum handlebar mount, and some nice bars, motorcycle style!

I will have some videos up on You Tube in a couple of days.

I will also have to figure out a new tach, speedometer, and fuel gauge.
