NCY Rear Shock Absorber Installation.

Well I finally had some time today, and these NCY Nitrogen rear shocks were staring right at me, so I could not resist, it only took me about 20 minutes.

The tools you need are a 10mm and a 14mm socket.

First step: Using your socket, remove the top mounting bolt for the first first old shock absorber, then remove the lower mounting bolt.

Second Step. Make sure that both the new shock are set the same way, with the preload on the spring, and the dampening screw at the bottom.

Third Step. Install the new shock, and tighten both the bolts securely.

Fourth Step. Repeat the process on the other side, and make sure you tighten the bolts securely.

Wallah!!! you are now ready to go riding.

How do I know if I have a GY6 engine?

About 95% of all the Chinese made scooters that are four stroke are Gy6 engines.
This how you can tell:
On the lesft side of the engine, you have the CVT (transmission cover) cover, this is the cover where your kick starter comes out of.
Look just underneath the cover toward the front of the cover, on the actual engine block, you will see a square area that has a bunch of numbers and letters engraved on it.
If you identify the numbers and letters, 139QMB, then you have a GY6 50cc, if you see 152QMI, then you have a GY6 125cc, if you see 157QMJ, then you have a GY6 150cc engine.

These three engines are very similar in set up and design. The 125cc and the 150cc is essentially the same engine, just with a different bore on the cylinder.

The 139QMB or 50cc motor can easily be upgraded to an 80cc big bore, this setup is fairly easy, as it is a bolt on kit, the cases do not have to split and bored out.

The 152QMI 125cc or the 157QMJ 150cc can also be upgraded with a 180cc big bore kit, this upgrade ia a little more complex, as the cases have to be split and bored out, in order to accomodate the larger cylinder.

Don’t freak out just yet, we will soon have a completely built, ready to install, 180cc GY6 engine, it’s simple, just send us your old engine and we will ship you the new one, just call us to find out more information.

CDI? do you have AC or DC

Always make certain whether your scooter is AC or DC current before you purchase a CDI

We have both AC and DC in stock, click here MonsterGY6 for a detailed explanation on what CDI you need.

If you plug the wrong CDI into your scooter, it will destroy the CDI.
